Christmas

A definite highlight of the holidays was having a Christmas Eve dinner at our house, and then going to the Midnight service at church, celebrating Jesus.
...priceless :o)

Smokies + Fam :o)

Our little nephew, Andrew, is such a cutie!
Stayed in the Smokies Thursday = fun! ...although it started raining and getting icy on Friday, so we left early...not good hiking weather!

Suave to the Max

Pre-run kodak moment (suave to the max), taken right before heading out to the boulevard - the best place to run in the WORLD! :o) It is possible that I'm biased, but...not on this opinion ;o)
It's great to be home!

...special ;o)

This year, our Christmas pics aren't necessarily the "best" in a traditional sense, but they might be (slightly) more...unique.
Piggy-back is always a must!...yet we sort of failed - I jumped at the wrong time and was sliding down (yet taking his shirt with me!)...not to mention it was way off center!
The kiss is always classic, and my, what a handsome guy I get to kiss all the time!
Next, I was asking what pose were were doing, and wondering what sort of Christmas pic this was going to look like! ha.
We tried the peek-out-behind-the-tree pose, but looked a bit odd since the tree isn't big enough for us to succeed at peeking! hehe.
Merry Christmas!! :o)

Christmas tastes...

Since we're flying to Knoxville next week, we started to unwrap a few gifts from momndad Handley....one of our gifts was a set of Christmas mugs! I have a feeling that we'll definitely use these year-round!
...sort of funny, after just posting about mugs yesterday!
ps: I was especially thirsty, so I needed to test out Stephen's, too. ;o)

The End...and Beginning!

Lately, it seems like we've been doing a lot of finishing and prepping.

As for the finishing:
  • Stephen finished his last exam for the semester - check!
  • I finished my time on Riptide...yet of course still a Riptide fan!
  • I'm in the midst of giving a string of finals for TESL I, Writing, and Editing classes.
  • This is my last semester of teaching - graduation for the students is Tuesday!
  • PS: I have learned much more than my students have this semester! I know that sounds cliche, but it is so true, period. I will miss them!! But I'm so blessed to have their support and love as I continue on...it will be fun to share the journey with them. :o)
As for the prepping:
  • Stephen's preparing to find a job somewhere in a hospital that treats cancer. If you know any radiation oncologists who need a brilliant & amazing Jr. Medical Physicist, let us know! (...ps: I have veto power on location!! haha.)
  • Preparing (ie, training) for the 2010 triathlon season with my new coach, Barb Lindquist! I'm excited to focus on this full time and feel beyond blessed to have the opportunity! I love all the new training I've been doing, and am excited to keep training & racing.
  • but...really what we want our hearts and minds to be most prepared for and focused on is Jesus Christ! ("A thrill of Hope! The weary world rejoices!")
Stephen and I were just talking yesterday about how we're going to blink and then find ourselves feeding each other green jello in a nursing home!
But today, we'll enjoy some green tea & coffee in a couple of our fav mugs :o)
Happy Thursday!

The tree is up!

Nuthin' like a little tree-hugging during the holidays...
(Stephen gives better hugs, though.) ;o)

Ni Hao!

In the past...
I've really enjoyed Fotolog (http://www.fotolog.com/bethanylin) because I love pictures...but I like the larger array of organizational options that Blogspot offers.
Same-same, but different...
Speaking of the Google Empire, Stephen recently weaned me off of Mozilla for Google Chrome...it was a tough change (haha), but I like it better now.
Yet to be determined...
Maybe my switch from Fotolog to Blogspot will be a similar success story...but if not, at least I'll know!
